What is holistic medicine?
The word holistic does need defining precisely. Too often it is understood as natural (whatever that may be), alternative (to scientifically evidenced), homeopathic, traditional, herbalistic health care modalities. However holistic is all comprising. It means the whole patient, owner, doctor, environment and every aspect thereof. A disease or well-being is only the sum of every factor in our lives. At our clinic we consider everything. When we recommend a treatment, we consider whether there is benefits beyond the symptomatic improvement of the patient, whether it is possible for you to administer and whether there is a benefit for the entire life of the patient, you, your family and everyone involved. Holistic medicine is not limiting our options to selling energy infused beads or naturally derived compounds, but considering the full spectrum of interactions in our patients’ lives.
